My first edit on Wikipedia was an unregistered contribution in 2019; I noticed there was no article on one of my long-standing fascinations: automata, so I went ahead and created it. Shortly after that, I started editing as Mx Lucy. I joined the monthly get together in my region and started to coach newcomers (I did this until 2024). I initiated and coordinate Wiki Loves Fashion the Netherlands (2022–present), and contribute as a coach during gender gap and LGBT+ events.
Between September 2023 and June 2024, I served on the Commissie BVR-zaken (Appeals Committee for Friendly Spaces Policy). In June 2024, I joined the board of Wikimedia Nederland, and in this role I organized a training day on how to deal with Difficult Behaviour. I was also involved in the launch of the Wikimedia Nederland E-coach pilot.
When I'm not working on Wikimedia projects, you can find me in a cosy coffeeshop, laptop open, writing fiction with a large dirty chai within reach.
