Joris Pekel works as a community coordinator cultural heritage at the Europeana Foundation. At Europeana he closely works together with memory institutions to open up cultural heritage data for everybody to enjoy and reuse. He is also coordinator of the OpenGLAM Network that promotes free and open access to digital cultural heritage held by Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAMs) and brings together organisations, institutions and individuals that share this goal.
