WCN 2013/Programma/GLAM Toolset
The GLAMwiki toolset project is a collaboration between Wikimedia Nederland, Wikimedia UK, Wikimedia France, Wikimedia CH (Switzerland) and Europeana. The goal of the project is to provide a set of tools to make batch uploads of GLAM content in Wikimedia Commons as easy as possible. The additional tools have to make sure that re-use can easily be tracked; and that Commons materials can easily be integrated back into the collection of the original GLAM or even other GLAMs. On this presentation we want to show WMNL members and conference attendees how the project has evolved over time and (if possible by calendar) do some test upload with an actual Rijksmuseum sample file.
Dan Entous is Lead Frontend Developer at the Europeana Foundation/Koninklijke Bibliotheek (Royal Library), The Hague. He was previously employed by, e.g., Philips Design, Eindhoven and received his education at universities and institutions in the USA, China and The Netherlands.
Vertaling - Het GLAMwiki toolsetproject is een samenwerking tussen Wikimedia Nederland, Wikimedia UK, Wikimedia France, Wikimedia CH (Zwitserland) en de Europeana Foundation. Het moet programmatuur opleveren voor het automatisch toevoegen van vele culturele bestanden aan Wikimedia Commons. Andere programma's brengen de toepassing van de bestanden in kaart en vinden de bronnen van de bestanden terug. We bespreken de ontwikkeling van het project. Zo mogelijk doen we een proef met een toevoeging aan Commons van een voorbeeldbestand van het Rijksmuseum.
Dan Entous is Lead Frontend Developer bij de Europeana Foundation/Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Den Haag. Eerder werkte hij onder meer bij Philips Design, Eindhoven. Hij studeerde in de VS, Nederland en China.
