De wereld achter Wikipedia is groot en ondoorzichtig. Tenminste, zo lijkt het in het begin. Als men stapje voor stapje zet en probeert overzicht te houden, dan beantwoorden vragen zich vaak vanzelf. Historicus dr. Ziko van Dijk gaat met de bezoekers langs die route en maakt de samenhang duidelijk tussen vrije kennis en vereniging, wiki's en encyclopedie, zusterprojecten en thematische organisaties.
Ziko van Dijk is Wikipedia-auteur en sinds 2011 voorzitter van Wikimedia Nederland.
Abstract in English - The world lurking behind the pages of the Wikipedia is enormous and confusing. At least, that's how it seems at first. However, if we proceed by small steps and keep an eye on the panorama, questions will be answered by themselves. Historian dr. Ziko van Dijk guides the tourists along that route and explains the relation between free knowledge and the chapters of the Wikimedia Foundation, wiki's and the wikipedia encyclopedia, related projects and thematic organisations.
Ziko van Dijk is a Wikipedian and since 2011 president of the board of Wikimedia Nederland, the Dutch chapter of the Wikimedia movement.
